“It Takes Team to Tango”
- Leadership
- Trust
- Attitude of Responsibility
- Negotiating Differences
- Goals & Values
- Open Communication
Leadership is central to the establishment and maintenance of all of the other elements essential to effective teamwork. The leader is the architect, builder and maintenance person for the team. Leadership can be taken at any level regardless of position.
Trust is essential to open and honest communication. Team members know they can rely on each other and are consistently supportive of team mates.
Attitude of Responsibility means that everyone is proactive in responding to the needs of the team, no matter what their position. There is a ‘no blame’ culture and an attitude which says, “there are no problems, only solutions”
Negotiating Differences brings a variety of personalities, expertise, perspectives and creativity to the team, giving it more strength. Harnessing diversity is a team’s greatest challenge.
Goals set the direction for the team; giving them a common vision to aspire to.
Shared Values reinforce team culture and the way the team works together to achieve their goals.
Open Communication is essential to the ongoing health of team relationships and gives a team the ability to adapt, grow and achieve optimum performance.

Introduction
![]()
Arthur Murray corporate dance programs aim to develop work teams by enhancing communication, relationships, self-esteem and social awareness. Corporate members will strengthen key skills as they listen, learn, persevere, perform and encourage in a relaxed fun-filled environment.
Partnership dancing is one of the most effective methods to build trust in the work community and develop a greater team spirit. Obviously this kind of improvement will translate to greater productivity, increased profits and a work environment that is looked forward to!
Why Arthur Murray?
Arthur Murray Dance Studios have been teaching the world to dance since 1912.
In Australia Arthur Murray studios have been established for over 40 years located in Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne. All of our studios operate full-time with professionally trained instructors.
You can see our choreography in a number of big name dancing movies including "Dirty Dancing", "Strictly Ballroom", "Saturday Night Fever" and "Shall We Dance".
Specialising in Latin American, Rock ‘n’ roll and Ballroom dancing, our Victorian studios cater for those who have never set foot on a dance floor to the most advanced. Nobody makes learning to dance easier than Arthur Murray.
Aims and Objectives
The programs are completely flexible. The similarities of the work environment can be built into certain dance activities tailoring a program to your goals and objectives. e.g. A sales type environment may involve some competition dancing between staff members towards the end of the program.
Corporate team members will learn to confidently perform 6 of the most popular social dances.
During this process your staff will learn to trust their manager, supervisor or coach and team leaders will learn to operate on the same level as regular employees, resulting in improved communication and relationships amongst all staff members.
