How We Teach Our Students
Arthur Murray Studios teaches our students on a scholastic basis. The degrees of dancing achieved are varied. Students make progress through our medallist system, which is used worldwide. They start their journey from the Introductory & Variety Programs through to Associate or Full Programs in Bronze, Silver, Gold, Gold Bar and Gold Star Standards.
The Benefits of the Arthur Murray Method
Our Studios utilize a style of teaching called the Arthur Murray Method. As a result, you find well-designed courses and professional instructors for either Social or Competition Styles. Our Students learn the skills needed for dancing (not just steps). Our goal is to help you get out on the floor dancing in the most time-efficient way possible.
Dancing Programs
Foundation
Firstly, the foundation program is designed solely for the students joining us for the very first time. It includes private, beginner group lessons and practice sessions. We have additional services including visual demonstrations, progress checks and consultations. Secondly, our programs introduce you to four or five of the most popular social dances. As a result, this variety helps you develop basic movement and timing.
Medallist Programs
Bronze
Our dance directors design the Bronze Program as a full Social Standard which develops timing and technique in all social dances. This level enables you look attractive and feel comfortable on the floor. The Bronze level strengthens your leading or following. As a consequence, regardless of your partner, the kind of music, or the type of dance floor, you look poised and comfortable. This is true for all popular social dances and their many variations.
It gives you all the confidence you will ever need on the dance floor. With this program, dancing knowledge is yours to keep, as you will always remember the elements of each dance. Arthur Murray courses help you reach a gratifying point in dancing when your only thought is to enjoy your partner and having fun.
Silver
The Silver Program provides a high degree of styling, which helps in demonstrating your individual character. At this level, Dancers stand out on the dance floor, using flashy movements. Improved technique develops the all important continuity of movement. This helps couples glide around the dance floor with many changes in direction. People definitely notice a Silver Dancer on a crowded floor.
Gold
Our Gold Program standard is for the stars. This is the level for the social or the exhibition dancer. Gold level’s intricate patterns are reserved for the time when both people really know what they are doing. Choreography, styling, technique, and showmanship are necessities in this standard. It should not be used on a crowded dance floor. The dancer’s smoothness and control make this a beautiful program for audiences. You must prepare to work, if excelling at this level is your goal. When you put in the work, you become an outstanding performer of every dance!
Bridal Program
Wedding
